Must Visit: Neptune London

Aside from Sam Fender (and the suits), the next biggest star of our Suit Yourself campaign is the dream-like Neptune restaurant in which it was shot.

If you’re looking for somewhere to take your folks when they visit or to impress a date with a boozy brunch, then look no further than Neptune.

With half-price oysters from 6-7 daily, your bog-standard Happy Hour this is not. If you’re after more of a breakfast vibe and keen to get the weekend started off right, Saturday and Sunday brunch services means £5 cocktails. Beyond the classic bloody Mary (although this, too, is on offer) you can try a Bellini, a gin fizz, a Paloma (tequila, lime, and grapefruit) or a coffee negroni. We’ll take one of each, please.

Whilst sipping on cocktails and throwing back oysters, you can charm yourself and your friends by looking around the dream-like brasserie. Take yourself back in time and admire the listed architecture originally designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll – and almost identical to the dining room of the Titanic – his crowning masterpiece.

And if that isn’t enough of a Hollywood link for you, the floor is inspired by the famous corridor carpet of The Shining which clashes with 70s colours, textures, and upholstery. Keep an eye out for the chandeliers, vintage seashell lamps, and curved oyster bar.

Neptune is open for breakfast from 7 – 10.30 (11 on weekends) and happy hour and dinner from 5-10pm Monday to Saturday and is located in London’s Russell Square.
